Lady Ga Ga has finally found a fan in English singer Cheryl who is quite candid about being ‘obsessed’ with her. In fact, she considers Lady Ga Ga her style icon.
Contactmusic.com quoted Cole as saying, ‘If I’m totally honest with you, I never had a style icon. But Lady GaGa is right now. I think people don’t see her as conventionally beautiful but, as a style icon and an artist, I’m slightly obsessed with her. She’s the real deal.’
Now, coming from someone who has been often praised for her own classy looks and sense of style, this sure is a big compliment to Lady Ga Ga. In April, earlier this year, Cheryl Cole was voted as the Best-Dressed Woman of the Year 2009 and style icon of the decade. This poll was conducted by television channel The Style Network and involved 3000 women. With likes of Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss as her contenders, this is no mean achievement.
But winning polls is nothing new for this babe, who has loads of talent. Last year in November, Cole’s brunette locks topped the poll of ‘Best Celebrity Hairstyles’ relegating Victoria Beckham to the second place.
Elvin, editor of the Glamour opined, “She’s ridiculously gorgeous, beautifully groomed and always glossy, glossy, glossy.”
It’s not that Cole is modest about being classy and stylish and admitted that she was too sexy to pose nude. In her own words, “Sometimes a beautiful dress is much more sexy than underwear. Have some class.”
Even though Cole has nothing against cosmetic surgeries, it’s not something she would like to try herself as in her opinion, imperfections make a woman sexier. “I wouldn’t deny it if I had plastic surgery. I wouldn’t just come out with big boobs and say, ‘No, I haven’t had an operation!’ I think imperfections are sexy anyway, I honestly do. “If everyone looked perfect with a perfect face and perfect boobs, it wouldn’t be sexy as its not real life.”
Admitting that cakes and biscuits were her weakness, Cole blamed her svelte figure on her hectic work schedule which does not even allow her to exercise. Its hours of dancing that comes to her respite and provide her with all the exercise she needs.
